Tonight is your yahrzeit again, four years since you've gone. It doesn't seem that long, but time has been very strange since you first got sick.
This year as always, your yahrzeit falls the day before the fast day, the 17th of Tammuz. In addition, this year it coincides with the baseball all-star game. Mom and I talked about how when you and Josh were kids, the night of the all-star game would be virtually the only time that we would have dinner without you. You and Josh would want to be left alone to concentrate on the game.
Today I thought about how you make my all world all star team, not for being the best at baseball, but for being the best person I ever new. I wonder how you and your childeren would have made this world a better place and I realize that it is appropriate that Jews, and in fact all people, observe a day of mourning following your yahrzeit.
I love you still again.
